Can't Get Enough / Liquid D&B

PERSONAS releases 'Can't Get Enough' as PSNS-004, his first vocal outing since returning to making music in late 2025 and the first track in his current run to centre singing over production. The choice carries weight. An artist whose prior releases leaned on the harder end of 140 and dubstep is now asking listeners to follow him into Electronic R&B and Liquid D&B territory, and the question for any release of this kind is whether the song writing holds its own without the production muscle.

The original mix mostly does. The vocal sits comfortably in the arrangement and the lyric leaves room for the listener's own reading, which is the right instinct for a track being repositioned from a 2011 demo. The instrumental restraint is also a tell. PERSONAS is showing he can hold back, which is harder than it sounds given his catalogue. Where the release stretches is the Liquid D&B version. It earns the late-night club framing he reaches for, but the gap between the two versions is wide enough that they read as different artistic decisions rather than two angles on one piece. That may be deliberate.

Set against PSNS-002's heavier punch, this is the gentler register he has been signalling he wants. PSNS-005 is positioned as a return to grit. Whether that reads as a producer using his full range or as a writer still finding his lane will depend on how the next release lands.
